How we calculate
- 1We convert your bill to kWh using your distributor's residential BTS tariff tiers (fixed charge up to 10 kWh; 11–300; 301–750; over 750 kWh), valid 1 September to 31 December 2026, before subsidy.
- 2We size the system to cover up to 95% of your annual consumption, because ASEP only recognizes up to 25% of energy exported to the grid.
- 3Production uses Global Solar Atlas specific yield (kWh/kWp/year) for your province, with a 10% roof-loss factor and the region's monthly curve.
- 4Investment uses a range of $1,200–$2,000 per kWp for residential and $950–$1,600 for commercial, before permits.
- 525-year savings assume 0.6% annual panel degradation and flat tariffs (a conservative scenario).
